Condenser: Process 2-3

The condenser works by changing the refrigerant from a hot vapor into a cooler liquid state by removing heat from the system. Cool water is brought from the cooling towers to be used as the medium to remove the heat from the refrigerant as it condenses; the refrigerant passes through tubes inside a tank containing water which leads to the change in internal energy. The cooler refrigerant is then transferred to the throttle valve and the hot water is brought to the cooling tower to be used again.
