What does a chiller plant do?
The water chiller plant is responsible for cooling over 90 campus buildings by transporting cool liquid refrigerant throughout the buildings via pipes. The refrigerant is used in cooling the buildings with different air conditioning systems. The main plant is located at the south west corner of campus just down the street from the Abbott power plant.
